Boys Varsity Tennis
Coach Jeff Van Dis is in his second year coaching the Boys' and Girls' Varsity Tennis Teams at Lakeview High School. Last season the boys' team had a 10-4-2 record that improved on the previous year. They were also City Champions. Coach Van Dis also coached for 10 years at Battle Creek Central where two of his teams finished 13th and 15th in the state. Coach Van Dis is also the Head Tennis Professional for the past 31 years at Battle Creek Country Club. For 26 years he organized and ran the Amy Yeast Memorial Pro-Am. With the money raised over the years area tennis players can apply for the Amy Yeast Tennis Scholarship through the Battle Creek Community Foundation when they are a senior.
