Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis Misses Qualifying for State and Takes 4^th at Division 2 –#9 Regional on October 9, 2021

The co-#10 state-ranked Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis Team finished 4^th (out of 7 teams) at the Division 2 - #9 Regional on October 9, 2021.  The Spartans finished with 7 points in a very tough regional that included three other state ranked teams.  #2 state ranked Mattawan won the regional with 21 points.  Co-#10 state ranked Byron Center was 2^nd with 15, (earlier in the year) #8 state ranked Portage Central was 3^rd with 9.  Also teams that finished were Portage Northern - 5^th with 5, and Wyoming and Ottawa Hills were 6^th with 0 points.

For the season the team finished with a 13-3 record.  The team won the SMAC East and finished 2^nd out of 9 teams in the SMAC Tournament.  They also won the All-City Tournament, Holland Invitational, and the Jenison Invitational. The team also was Division II state ranked this year as a co-#10.  This was the 4^th year in the row that the Spartan Boys’ Tennis Team finished state ranked in Division II.
