Varsity Golf at St. Phil Invitational

On Saturday, April 27, the Spartans competed against Mother Nature, and schools from the area, at Binder Park Golf Course. The golf team battled the cold, and made great efforts to show that the forecast of snow wasn't a concern. Unfortunately, the Spartans came up short against cross-town rival Harper Creek. Scores for the players were: Jake Van Dis 81, Nathan Pawlowicz 85, Brennan Haugen 90, Alex Emmons 103 and John Avery 112. This the Spartans host the SMAC East at Cedar Creek on Monday, then travel to Stonehedge on Tuesday. The golfers will also play at The Meadows (GVSU) on Thursday in the very talent heavy, Forest Hills Invitational.
