The rain continued to be a factor for the Varsity golfers, to the point that the tournament was shortened to 9 holes due to rain and wet conditions. The Spartans traveled to their final regular season event full of hope and promise, which quickly turned into rain clouds...as has been the case the entire season. The players went out hoping to play all 18 holes, but after five holes, the clouds opened up and rain fell on the course. It was decided by the coaches to shorten the event to a 9 hole invitational.
Scoring for Lakeview was: Jake Van Dis 40, Nathan Pawlowicz 48, Josh Pawlowicz 53, Alex Emmons 52 and Dominik Kerschbaum 62.
The next event for the team is the Regionals, at The Meadows Golf Course on the campus of GVSU, May 30. Good luck Spartans!
