The Lakeview Spartans Girls Varsity Golf team made their season debut at the Scott Family Invitational hosted by Gull Lake. The Spartans started their season with a solid team effort, finishing 4th out of 12 teams. Amiyah Gibson (FR) led the Spartans with a score of 77, which tied her for 1st place with a golfer from Grosse Pointe South. Along with Gibson, fellow Spartans also showed promise of a great season: Annabelle Minneman (JR) 94, Alexa Thurman (JR) 96, Kayla Franklin (FR) 115 and Ella Seiler (JR) 116. The team will continue their season on Friday, August 20th as they host the Lakeview Invitational at Cedar Creek Golf Course.
