Spartans soccer kicked off the 2021 season with a win over the host Wildcats of Three Rivers. Spartans won the game 9-1.

The Spartans opened up scoring with a strong strike from Junior forward Sang Sang from a great pass by Senior Captain Alex Elliott.

Soon after Junior Abram Thang got into the action with beautiful assist to Elliott

Three Rivers answered with a penalty kick goal  to make it 2-1.

Spartans finished the half with a Goal by Junior Abram Thang assisted by Sang and a beautiful 20 yard volley strike goal by Junior Captain Mathew Bacik to make it 4-1 at the half.

After halftime adjustments, the Spartans scored five more times in the next twenty minutes with goals by Sophomore Luke Borozan assisted by Elliott, a Penalty Kick goal by Abram Thang, Elliott scored his second of the game with an assist from Sang, Andy Ignatovich scored a goal assisted by Sang and Cinta Chin finished the game with a strike just inside the 18 yard line after a missed clearance.

Senior Ben Ignatovich had 7 saves in goal and Junior Luke Rebhan had 1 save.

The Spartans go to 1-0 for the season and face Jackson Northwest on Monday at Home.
