Spartans give up Late Goal in 1-0 Loss to St. Joe
The Spartans fell to D2 #3 ranked St. Joseph on Thursday. The Spartans were knotted up at half 0-0, and gave up a goal in the 60th minute of the game and were not able to find the back of the net. The Spartans defense led the way, the backline of Andy Neal, Travis Neal, Uk Pi and Chigo Manu kept the Bears from finding any rhythm throughout the entirety of the game.
Ben Ignatovich had 9 saves on the day for the Spartans who fell to 3-3-1 (0-2 SMAC). The Spartans will play next this Saturday in the Lakeview Invitational.
