The Spartans traveled to Stevensville to take on Lakeshore and ended with a 0-0 draw. The Spartans record goes to 5-4-2 (0-3-1 SMAC). The Spartans will next play Saturday September 18 at Home in the All City Soccer Tournament.
The Spartans had some offensive chances throughout the entirety of the match, earning 6 corner kicks and had 7 shots on goal. However, the Spartans never found the back of the net. Defensively, the Spartans earned their 4th shutout of the year. The defense led by Centerbacks Andy and Travis Neal and Outside Backs Stephen JoPaul, Chigo Manu and Uk Pi were relentless and only allowed 5 shots on goal and conceded 4 Corner Kicks. Ben Ignatovich had 5 saves in the net.
