The Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis played at the Sturgis Invitational on Saturday. Lakeview lost to Coldwater by the score of 5 to 3. Then the team defeated Sturgis by a score of 7 to 1.
Players who won matches against Coldwater were singles player Jai Banerji and the doubles teams of Vikram Strander/Canyon Upston and Zach Baker/Adam Schrader.
Players who won matches against Sturgis were singles players Jai Banerji, Cole Henkel, Jacob Van Dis and Shuma Isobe. Doubles teams that were victorious were Zane Huckaba/Alec Vondell, Vikram Strander/Canyon Upston and Zach Baker/Adam Schrader.
The LHS Boys’ Varsity team now stands at 3-1 for their dual record.
Their next match is Monday at 4:00 pm at the Lakeview High School Tennis Courts against Mattawan.
