Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis takes 2^nd place at Jenison Invitational Tennis Tournament on 8/16/2017

The Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis played at the Jenison Invitational Tennis Tournament on Wednesday, August 16th.  The team finished in 2^nd place out of the 4 team tournament.  

The team results were:

1^st Place – Holt – 21 points

2^nd Place – Battle Creek Lakeview – 12 points

3^rd Place – Jenison – 11 points

4^th Place – Caledonia – 4 points

Lakeview had two medalists at the event.  #1 singles player Jai Banerji finished in 1^st place in his flight by winning all 3 of his matches, and #4 singles Cole Henkel also placed 1^st by winning all of his matches.

The # 2 doubles team of Zach Baker and James Hager finished the tournament with two wins and thus taking 2^nd place in their flight.

Lakeview’s #2 singles player Jacob Van Dis, #3 singles player Cole Einhardt, #1 doubles team of Adam Schrader and Vikram Strander, and the #3 doubles team of Brenden Barnes and Josh Norman all finished with one win for the day.

The Spartans play their first dual match next week when they host Niles on Monday, August 21^st at 10:00 a.m. at the Lakeview High School Courts.  The Spartans also play a second match that day against Edwardsburg at 1:00 p.m.
