Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis ties for 5^th at Division 2 Regional

Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis played in a tough Division 2 Regional on Thursday in Portage.  Out of the 8 teams the Spartans finished with 3 points and finished tied for 5^th place.  The teams of Portage Central – 14 points, Byron Centre – 13 points Portage Northern – 10 points, and St. Joseph – 10 points all qualified for state.

The Spartans got 3 wins from it singles players.

#1 Single Jai Banerji won his first match against Battle Creek Central before being defeated by Portage Central.

#3 Singles Player Cole Einhardt won his first match against Portage Central.  He then was defeated by St. Joseph in the semi-finals.

#4 Singles Player Cole Henkel won his first match against Gull Lake before losing to Portage Central in the semi finals.

The LHS Boys’ Varsity Tennis ends their season with a 10-4 record, an All City Championship, and SMAC East Conference Champion.  Congratulations to all members on the team.
