Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis takes 1st place at All City Tennis Tournament on 8/24/2019

 

The Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis played in the All-City Tennis Tournament on Saturday, August 24th.  The team finished in 1st place out of the 3 team tournament.   The Spartans won each flight in the event.  This was the fourth straight title for the Spartans.

 

The team results were:

1st Place –Lakeview

2nd Place – Harper Creek

3rd Place – Pennfield

 

Lakeview were medalists at each flight.  The players winning were #1 singles player Cole Henkel, #2 singles player Cole Einhardt, #3 singles player Jacob Van Dis, #4 singles player Kooper Etheridge, #1 doubles team James Hager-Vikram Strander, #2 doubles team Connor Miller-Jimson Yang, # 3 doubles team Freddy Melges-Xander Renker and #4 doubles team Dominik Kerschbaum-Ethan Magers.

“We have a strong team this year that is willing to work hard at practices and compete at our matches.  Our players are improving and working each day to get better.  We currently are 5-1 and our players have a goal of trying to get back to the state tournament.”
