Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis takes 1^st place at Jenison Tennis Quad on 8/22/20

The Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis played at the Jenison Tennis Quad on Saturday, August 22^nd.  The team finished in 1^st place out of the 4 team event.  The Spartans won all three dual matches against their 3 opponents.

The Spartans first defeated Zeeland West by a score of 5-3.  Next, the team defeated Jenison 6-2.  Finally, the Spartans defeated Muskegon Reeths Puffer by a score of 8-0.

The Spartans who finished the quad undefeated were #1 singles player Cole Einhardt, #2 singles player James Hager, #3 singles player Connor Miller, #4 singles player Kooper Etheridge, and the #4 doubles team Ohm Desai and Ronit Velpulla. 

The #2 doubles team of Chris Carattini and Freddy Melges won two matches for the team.

The #1 doubles team of Ethan Magers and Zander Renker won one match, as well as #3 doubles Luke Dzwik and Dawson Gillette won one match to help the Spartans.

The quad this year also featured a #5 doubles flight that was counted as exhibition.   The #5 doubles team of Kamden Etheridge and Chase Oursler won all three matches against their opponents.

The Spartans improve their season record to 4-0 for the season. Their next matches will be against Lakeshore and St. Joe on Monday, the 24^th   Congratulations to the Spartan tennis players.
