Eleven of our 3rd and 4th grade students from Minges Brook Elementary were involved in a mentoring program with the basketball team for six weeks that involved learning new basketball skills and team-building activities.
Our students attended a basketball practice with their mentors once a week, cheered them on at a Friday night basketball game and attended a bowling party together at Nottke's as their final meeting.
The boys were nominated by their teachers and our Minges Brook boys could not wait to see their mentor every week.
