“You Wish You Were A Spartan” used to be traditional chant from our students section during athletic events. Yesterday at the Div. 1 Districts hosted by Jackson High the Spartan Wrestling had a great day on the mat when they advanced 8 wrestlers to the Div. I Regional next Saturday. Armando Callejas continued his outstanding Sr. season by capturing a District title at the 112 pound weight class. Gabe Livingston (103 lbs), Bryce Sheeders (119 lbs), Josef Quispe (145 lbs), and Josh Wright (152 lbs) all finished in 3rd place with just one loss each on the day. Evan Sheeders (112 lbs), Jacob White (135 lbs), and Nick Saumier punched their ticket to regionals by placing 4th. It was a good day to be a Spartan wrestler.
