Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis takes 1^st place at All City Tennis Tournament on 8/23/2018

The Lakeview Boys’ Varsity Tennis played in the All-City Tennis Tournament on Thursday, August 23^rd.  The team finished in 1^st place out of the 4 team tournament.   This was the third straight title for the Spartans.

The team results were:

1^st Place –Lakeview – 32 points

2^nd Place – Harper Creek – 24 points

3^rd Place – Pennfield – 12 points

4^th Place – Battle Creek Central – 5 points

Lakeview took first place in all eight flights.  Senior co-captain Jai Banerji won his 3^rd straight All-City title at #1 singles with decisive wins against Pennfield and Harper Creek. Other flight winners for Lakeview at singles were #2 Cole Henkel, #3 Cole Einhardt, and #4 singles Vikram Strander.

The #1 doubles team James Hager-Jacob Van Dis took the title with two strong showings to continue their undefeated record for the season.  The Spartans had victories in the other doubles flights with #2 doubles Kooper Etheridge/Adam Schrader, #3 John Avery/Connor Miller, and #4 doubles team Brenden Barnes/Soham Desai.

The Spartans currently have a 6-0-1 record for the season.
