It's been quite a week for Spartan Varisty Volleyball.  We've had some ups and downs. The Varsity Team had a huge match v. Mattawan on Wednesday and lost a 5 set 'hard hitting' match in tiebreak.

Only to bounce back today at the All City Tournament and adjust to some tweaks to the line up and finish the week becoming the 2018 All City Champs!  A Varsity Team 3-Peat Folks - Champions in 2016, 2017 & 2018!

LHS Varsity def: BCC 2-0 (25-5, 25-13)...Harper Creek 2-0 (25-10, 25-15)...Pennfield 2-0 (25-10, 25-11)...Calhoun Christian 2-0 (25-19 25-8)...St Phil 2-0 (25-21, 25-19)

LHS def Pennfield in the Semi's 2-0 (25-15, 25-16) and LHS def St Phil 2-0 (25-17, 25-21) for the Championship Match.

Adding to the great day of volleyball - The JV team also won the All City Championship today defeating Pennfield in the final 2-1 (23-25, 25-22, 15-11).  As well as the Freshmen with a 2nd place finish at the BCC Invite - losing to Pennfield 2-1 in the final.

Thanks to those who came out to watch, support and cheer on the Women of Sparta at all levels.

We finish up SMAC regular season play this Wednesday at  Portage Central.  JV & Frosh play at 5:30 pm.  Varsity 6:30.
