The Spartan Varsity Volleyball Team opened the 2016 season with a great first showing at the Gull Lake Invitational. The team swept their opponents in pool play and had a hard fought loss to Schoolcraft in the semi finals.
The team headed to the Leelanau School for their annual trip to train and bond before their next tournament...it's a great opportunity to 'tune out the distractions' and take time for technical and system training.
The 2016 Cereal City Volleyball Classic is this weekend at LHS & LMS. 28 teams total will be vying for the honor of winning the trophy for the 'oldest/longest running' volleyball tournament in the State of Michigan.
Please come and support the Women of Sparta as they are up for the challenge after a successful Pure Michigan training camp.
