The Varsity team played in an early season scrimmage at Marshall Country Club today.   Haley Lesiow led the Spartans with a 44.  McKenna Evans added a 49 and Meredith Carpenter posted a 56.    Jr.  Lauren Helner rounded out the scoring with a 60.    Lauren Long posted a final score of 67.    "I am very pleased with what I saw today"
 

The Varsity golfers competed in the Gull Lake Invitational today at Bedford Valley Golf Course.   Unfortunately, the event was rained out with about 4 holes to play.    Haley Lesiow was on her last hole when the horn sounded to stop play.   Haley was playing extremely well today and was on her way to a 90 or 91 finish.    Bedford Valley is a difficult course to play, especially around the greens.    McKenna Evans, Meredith Carpenter, Lauren Helner, and Lauren Long were making lots of good shots today and have shown improvement in the putting game.     The Varsity team is in action again this Friday when they host the Lakeview Spartan Invitational at Cedar Creek.

The Lady Spartans hosted the Div. 2 Regional at Cedar Creek Golf Course today.   The host Spartans recorded a team score of 385 matching their best team score of the season.   Haley Lesiow led the Spartans today with an 88,  McKenna Evans added a 96.  Lauren Helner recorded her best score of the year with a 100.  Meredith Carpenter posted a 101 and Lauren Long rounded out the scoring with a 113.    Haley Lesiow's 88 earned her a top 5 finish and a trip to play in the Div. II state finals next weekend at The Meadows at Grand Valley State University.  "We played well as a team today and I am happy with out effort.   We are all excited for Haley and look forward to the State Finals next weekend."

Haley Lesiow posted a great 86 today at The Meadows Golf Course during the 2nd day of the Div. II State Finals.   She recorded a 99 on day one, but recovered today with an outstanding 13 over par 86.    Her two day total of 185 put her in the top 40 out of 108 golfers.  "It was awesome to see Haley play well today.   She actually didn't hit the ball bad yesterday, but this course is unforgiving and little misses can add up on the score card."   Haley gained valuable experience that she can bring back to the team next season as the Spartan Golfers bring back all of their varsity players next season.  

Meredith Carpenter led the Spartans tonight at the All-City golf tournament.  Her 50 was good enough for 3rd place individually and earned her All-City Honors.   Haley Lesiow shot a 51 and McKenna Evans finished with a 52.   Lauren Long added a 59 and Lauren Helner rounded out the scoring with a 60.    "Meredith posted a solid score tonight we are excited for her."    
 

Back on Aug. 24th the Spartans posted a team score of 402 and were in 5th place after the first round of the Conference Championship.   Haley Lesiow posted her best round of the year when she fired an 84 at Stonehedge North and was in 5th place individually.        Today at Bedford Valley during the 2nd round of the Conference Championship the team shot 395 and moved up 2 spots to finish 3rd overall.   Haley Lesiow moved up the leader board as well.   After posting an individual score of 90 Haley finished as Conference Runner-up individually.   McKenna Evans shot 96 and Meredith Carpenter posted a 103.   Lauren Helner rounded out the scoring today with a 106. 

The Lady Spartans finished 10th at the Coldwater Inv. last Friday.   Haley Lesiow posted a solid score of 92 to lead the Spartans.   Meredith Carpenter broke 100 for the 2nd time this season by shooting 99.  Lauren Helner and Lauren Long rounded out the team scoring with a 102 and 108.

The Lady Spartans finished in 1st place in the 3rd SMAC East Jamboree.  Lakeview finished with a team score of 199 followed by Gull Lake with 214.   "We will lock up the SMAC East with a win on Wednesday at the K-Central Jamboree.  Haley Lesiow was individual medalist today with a 46.  McKenna Evans was second with a 47.   Meredith Carpenter was 4th overall with a 50.   Lauren Helner added a 56 and Lauren Long finished with a 59.    

The Lakeview Spartan varsity girls golf team finished in 6th place today at Marshall Country Club in the Redhawk Invitational with a team score of 392.   McKenna Evans led the Spartans today with an 86.   McKenna finished in a tie for 3rd individually.   Haley Lesiow shot a 92 and Lauren Helner added a 106.    Meredith Carpenter closed out the scoring today with a 108.    "We keep making small improvements and that is all you can ask for."

The Varsity Golfers posted a team score of 399 today.   Haley Lesiow led the Spartans today with a solid 89 on a tough golf course in tough conditions today.    Meredith Carpenter posted a career low today with a 99.   McKenna Evans added a 100.    Lauren Long and Lauren Helner rounded out the scoring today both shooting 111's.   Maddson Stewart played in her first 18 hole match today and carded a 138.   "Not a bad score for us today especially with the rain and the mosquitoes."    The Spartans are in action tomorrow at Marshall Country Club for the Redhawk Open.   

The Lady Spartans played host to the 2nd SMAC East Jamboree tonight at Cedar Creek.   The Spartans finished second with a team score of 195.   So. McKenna Evans led the Spartans with a 42.  Jr. Haley Lesiow shot 46 and Jr. Lauren Long carded a 53.   Both Jr. Lauren Helner and Jr. Meredith Carpenter finished with a 54.  Sr. (first year golfer) Hunter Garland finished with a 68.

The Lady Spartans posted a team score of 402 today at Stonehedge North.    This is the first of two 18 hole rounds of the SMAC Conference Championship.    Haley Lesiow continues to set personal best, with an outstanding 84 today.   Lauren Helner carded a 103 and Meredith Carpenter followed with a 104.    Lauren Long rounded out the scoring today with a 111.    "We are right in the hunt to finish in the top 3 in the Conference"   The second round of the Conference Championship will be held at Bedford Valley G.C. on Sept. 28th. 

The Varsity Golfers shot an outstanding 184 today to capture the win at the first of four Jamboree matches in the SMAC East Division.    Every girl on the team today had career low Varsity round.   Haley Lesiow led the way with a 39 and McKenna Evans followed with a 41.   Meredith Carpenter shot a 49 and Lauren Helner carded a 54.   Lauren Long rounded out the scoring with a 55.     The Spartans are on the course again this Wednesday for their first of two 18 hole rounds for the SMAC Conference Championship at Stonehedge North.

Haley Lesiow recorded her first Career Eagle in competition today when she Eagled the Par 5 (3^rd hole) at Lake Cara Golf Course.   Great Job Haley, Congrats !!!!!

The Varisty golf team hosted the Spartan Golf Invitational today at Cedar Creek Golf Course.   The team finished in 6th place today with a team score of 381.    Sophomore McKenna Evans and Junior Haley Lesiow led the scoring today with McKenna's 86 and Haley's 87.     Both golfers earned top 10 honors today.    Junior Meredith Carpenter had a career low 102 and Lauren Helner posted a fine 106.    Lauren Long rounded out the scoring today with a 118.    This was Lauren's first time playing 18 holes.    "I am very excited about how we played today.   If we can make steady improvement during the season, I like our chance at regionals."
