Lakeview Girls’ Varsity Tennis

Sturgis Invitational

Date: 4/21/18

The Lakeview Spartans Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team finished the Sturgis Invitational with a 1-2 record.  The tournament was a 4 team dual invitational.  Lakeview defeated Edwardsburg 5-3, but lost to Chelsey 6-2 and Sturgis 5-3. 

Lakeview Medalists for the Invitational were #1 Singles Haley Lesiow (2^nd Place), #2 Singles Breh Ruger (1^st Place) and #4 Singles Co Nguyen (2^nd Place).

Lakeview now has a dual match record of 2-3.  Match results are as follows:

1 Doubles: Lauren Helner/Stella Huang (LHS) lost to Kendall Tucker/Morgan Moore 7-6 (5), 6-2

2 Doubles: Sharon Huang/Sophia Pwe (LHS) lost to Maddie Pedlow/Julia Schnachinger 6-0, 6-1

3 Doubles: Brigitte Colquhoun/Kelsey Marquez (LHS) lost to Madisen Chianyarre 3-6, 6-0, (10-8)

4 Doubles: Madelyn Cawnhlun/Nung Sung (LHS) lost to Carrine Dale/Gretchen Kuras 6-2, 6-1

The Lakeview Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team lost to Chelsey by a score of 6 to 2 at the Sturgis Invitational.  Victories for Lakeview were the singles players of #1 Haley Lesiow and #2 Breh Ruger.

The Lakeview Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team lost to Sturgis by a score of 5 to 3 at the Sturgis Invitational.  Victories for the team were singles players were #2 Breh Ruger and #4 Co Nguyen.  The #4 doubles team of Nung Sung/Madeline Cawnhlun were also victorious.
